Privacy and data

In the course of taking and fulfilling orders, the atelier needs to collect and store your personal information.

As a business working with disadvantaged communities, we understand on a very fundamental level how important the privacy and security of that data is, and so we've set out a comprehensive policy below for how your data is handled and stored.

In all cases, your information is protected under Singapore law, in particular the Personal Data Protection Act. This act grants you certain rights with respect to your data, which we've laid out in plain English below.

Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions by using the contact form on this website. We try to respond as quickly as possible.

When you visit

A cookie is used to store the contents of your shopping cart, so that your chosen items will be there on your next visit.

When you sign up for our newsletter

We collect your name and email. This is used to deliver the newsletter you requested.

You can unsubscribe at any time.

When you order

We collect your name, email, address, and phone number. This is used to deliver your items to you, so the information is shared with our express delivery partner (DHL Express), our local courier, or Singapore's postal service.

Your financial information is processed by our store provider, Shopify/Stripe, or through your choice of payment providers, such as Paypal or Apple. We do not see nor store this information.

You can opt into or out of our newsletter when you order. Should you opt out, you won't receive any marketing, but we'll still contact you via email about matters related to your order.

Transferring your data

Outside of the uses stated in this policy, your data doesn't leave the atelier.

Retrieving your data

We will honour your request to see what data related to you we have stored.

Please write to us using the contact form on this website. We'll walk you through it, but you'll need to provide identification to prove it's you so that we don't give data away to the wrong person.

Deleting your data

Singapore law requires that we keep a full record of every transaction for at least five years past the financial year in which the transaction occurs.

To comply with this, we keep your customer and order records for a minimum of six calendar years from the order date. When this period has passed, we will honour your request to delete your data.

Please write to us using the contact form on this website, and we'll get it sorted. Again, we'll walk you through it, but you'll need to provide identification to prove it's you making the request.
